Initial assessment---If your company has an ISO 9001 certificate, Initial assessmentis a paper matter.

Start testing----We will need 1 set of brake pads per reference for vehicletesting. The static tests like shear-, compressibility andfriction level testing, will be accepted from your own testingfacility, providing the procedures and calibration is part ofyour quality system. This will also build the relation on theinitial tests and the COP testing after production has started.

Issue of certificates---The manufacturer is held to check the production on a regulatedbase.

The results of thesechecks are registered by the manufacturer.

RDW is, as the ApprovalAuthority, responsible for auditing the process.

Our Certificationdepartment will, after issue of the Compliance Statement, makean appointment with the manufacturer to visit the premises afterthe period of validity.

Costs.---The costs for R90 E4 approvals depends on the ability ofcombining WVA nrs. or types of brake pads in 1 test.
